- Soundmaster NR 500 Nostalgie Radio - B000E6G9PK (positive, but is no longer available)
With two exceptions (one of which see above), they were far inside and features all unspeakably expensive scrap in mere kaufverlockendem beautiful "design"!
I find that very unfortunate, but as I wrote before in one of the other review, it should be because the market for it is too small, the prices would be too high and the cost is not purely come back if you made it neatly (or could. in China, Pakistan or make elsewhere).
One of the two aforementioned exceptions is still the TEAC SLD-920, a excellentes device "with all the trimmings" and available in several colors (including silver, black and bright red) in the 1950s, Coca Cola and Chevrolet style.
The costs also 250.00!
My general advice: Beware of big beautiful (and supposedly inexpensive) eye-catching "nostalgia" products, not only in radio!
Unfortunately, as I said, in most cases it is, so to speak false promises.
Another general postscript, something you should know:
Like almost everything today these radios almost always come from China. Similarly, but - very high - frequency receiver, as well as televisions, other electrical appliances, flashlights, bicycles, mopeds, etc., etc., just most things; among other things, a lot of the in "German cars" built parts, even at VW, Mercedes, Opel, etc.!

However, one should not wrong - draw conclusions - general: not everything "Made in China" is botched. it is simply because what the "internationally operating corporations", the intermediate dealer, awarded as a job to the Chinese, or what they pay for their power (to invest) are ready.
The Chinese technology and industrial infrastructure is continuously better. Also thanks to Western orders, investments, - and not least the inevitable but short-sighted disclosure of technsichem know how!
The talk of Chinese industrial espionage I think is nonsense, distraction from the real problem. Chinese people are intelligent, eager to learn and fast! They have not at all necessary - to deliver them as I said the know by "outsourcing" free. From pure profit motive, rather than (naturally) more expensive to produce in this country and create jobs.
But we would have to find us willing to pay more for quality again from Germany. In the end we are, the buyer is responsible itself for this development. the trader in the market provides just at what demands and removed!
However, I fear that the whole thing is a somewhat self-imposed trap from which no longer come the Western consumer economy - and will perish in the end!
