To publish an almost heroic, strewn with platitudes, review for this Platinum Collection by Queen and this 'Long live Frederick Bulsara' with the words to finish well speaks for itself? Each real Quuen fan I want to save further embarrassment.
This reviewer also awards 5 Points for Modern Talking !.
Now for the review:
CD1, originally released in 1981, is a bit tight with the playing time of 58:27. Here would have definitely found place in the re-release of 2002 or more songs. The songs on the CD are all undoubtedly in a Best of Queen.
CD2 comes with the game time of 75:57 absolutely fine - also of the compilation.
the CD3 is also of the playing time (73:49) ago ok - but the compilation is quite open to criticism.
Track 1: The Live vesrion of 'The show must go on' is simply superfluous. This song already exist on CD2 and there he is much better.
Track 2: Here is the original version from the album 'Hot Space' also on CD2.
Track 3 and 4 go absolutely fine.
Track 5 is located in the original on CD1. On CD3 is the most superfluous of all songs because George Michael just does not come close to the vocal volume of Freddie - his strengths lie but rather elsewhere.
The tracks 6-13 and 15-17 are fully on this Queen Collection.
On the contrary, to track 14 - this is the original version on CD1. The version with Wyclef Jean is simply superfluous.
Unfortunately missing some classics of Queen. Among located with 'Love of my life', 'Tie Your Mother Down', 'Mustapha' and 'Let me entertain you' but absolute blockbuster, which were standard in live program of Queen. Furthermore missing sung by Brian May '39' and the rather unusual for Queen 'Body language'. Other not actually expendable on a 3CD Greatest Hits of Queen classics: Stone Cold Crazy, One year of love, tear it up or keep yourself alive.
Therefore my suggestion: SILVER COLLECTION!
If known 10 Queen hits missing, which were already present on previous best-of-works, I just can not forgive more points.
