Sends often only continuous signal

My remote control sends regularly instead of a short pulse (as it should be) only a continuous signal (IR-LED is just one). Then no longer works and can be turned off only by shaking and tapping again. Very annoying! In addition, as easily and silently, the battery will be sucked empty, because one can not detect it with the naked eye.

Technically, it would actually not so hard to build a simple circuit and should also be possible for 7.50! Would have liked exchanged but as it has otherwise worked quite well, it is unfortunately only a refund possible.
