Basically, the Navi Becker is good and intuitive.
The menu is similar to our old Navi Tom-Tom very much, but I find that actually very good.
Because either I sit a) straight in the car and would like to start driving and just want to quickly enter the destination address, or b) I even go already and has an extra stop to adjust something on Navi.
And in both cases, I am more impatient and does not want me for a long deal with it.
With us, it only takes every time until it finally receives a GPS signal.
I thought, it's up to our car (for thick slices?), But I just read other reviewers that them too shall pass.
It's stupid if you do not know in an unfamiliar city, whether to turn right or left, and the Navi is still looking for the GPS signal ...
When entering, not particularly appealing, 4 votes there is the possibility for two TTS (Text to Speech) input.
In this mode, then also the street names are announced with, in which you should turn. A good and sensible invention.
The display can be can be attached for example to show the speed limit. Good on pesky long distance because you forget happy times, whether and to what speed restriction is you.
Also on display is shown on the left below large, at what distance lies the next change of direction and of course, in what direction. Or even whether next comes a Kreisverkerhr.
Slightly smaller over there is still a small window in which the subsequent change of direction already seen. Especially in fast left / right combinations very well.
The display is a good size and razor sharp.
Despite numerous windows on the outer edge, the inner can be clearly seen, the eye can not be distracted great about it. Only to look for certain indicators, if desired.
Now to my criticisms before the Rezi is so long that no one likes to read more until the end.
Why do I need to sign up within 30 days after first use the Internet to save me the lifelong updates?
Why should not it go, when I logged 34 days after first use? Not at all clear to me.
This is indeed a Navi (and not a smartphone), of which I would expect when you buy that it was fed with relatively new maps and I can access it.
This is reinforced by results in the application on the Internet, as so often, was not so very easily with me.
I have, after I had the Navi connected to the laptop, logged via the Content Manager.
I had to sign in multiple times, either fit the username or the password is :-( and although I have naturally co-written directly.)
I got only after the 4th attempt an email with a confirmation link back. That was after less than two minutes out of date :-(
Since you really lose the last nerve and makes really only continue because you do not know whether turning on the Navis is considered first use when unpacking. I think that ...
At last logged in and downloaded the two vital updates.
Both were unfortunately only with problems, but I have each sent the problem to Becker. Hopefully it will help others :-)
But I'm now registered for both updates - one less worry :-)
The connection between mobile phone and navigation system went smoothly - unfortunately only via Bluetooth. Mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi connection I did not get activated.
For these two points of criticism I deducted 1 star.
Because the navigation is very good and really worth 5 stars.
Should you be times wrong turn and thus deviate from its predetermined path, calculates the Navi within seconds a new route and not annoying unnecessary "Please call" statements.
One can already adjust the Navi at home, with no additional cables or other fuss. Since you then possibly only the problem that once again no GPS signal can be detected.
Even with the voice control we first practiced at home.
It works when you most clearly speaks.
In the car we had not been so successful, since then more noise. Then the voice recognition is still doing something difficult.
The setting of routes is very good, fast and easy.
One can have a look at alternative routes or the fastest or easiest. One should quietly take the time and look at the routes more accurate.
Even gas stations, parking lots, and lots more can be displayed. As with our "old" Tom-Tom also eg.
You can also eg Geo coordinates entering, presumably for Geocaching :-)
We have so far, apart from the two mentioned points of criticism, completely satisfied.
As Navi it does what it should and will lead us safely to the target date.
Of course, we still try and I'll list our latest results and findings here on.
Unfortunately, Rezi will not be shorter.
Hopefully we can still help Kaufunentschlossenen with our observations, to arrive at a decision :-)
