Some have probably already a notebook from reputable Moleskine book manufacturers (13 x 21 cm) - they are only partially compatible. Because the width of these books are shorter. As a result, you should still choose one of these booklets instead of an original X17 tape insert that the X17-volumes survive compared to that - something counterproductive in describing the pages.
Just a little (6 mm) but this can also be the standard in notebooks A5 (14.8 x 21 cm) can not be used (are in cover on) - the same time the X-17 bands are narrower than the A5 format.
As both looks, I have tried to summarize in a photo - the fact is - make it fit, the booklet should in this case have the following dimensions 14.2 x 21 cm. Although my calendar - constantly synchronized high above the clouds with all mobile devices - - digital out I'm still not an old hand when it comes to the writing of dates. Since these books have no strong binding, the state is rather poor to mediocre. Therefore, it was interesting they mitzutragen for me in a common cover - always there and yet all of its own.

A notebook, which one does not have to adapt, but that can always be adjusted in a flexible manner to the owner - with some exceptions - one is in turn dependent - change of the format imaging X17-notebooks or must complete to a smaller format. This is - especially due to the current difficult Delivery option basically the high price - 2 Pack A5 notes currently (12/2013) EUR 9.90 (um, sorry, am a student;)) - for me a clear downside (if the company the system but as flexible describes). Especially expensive when - as in my case - like ever need more than 12 notebooks in and inflexible, when one wishes to have recourse to different weights.

In addition, it seems to really act in the Balacron cover to the entry-level model. Processing comes in my case (due to the already decent "Abfrimelungen" around the rubber ring) to the Moleskine hardcover books not reach.

TOTAL:
Basically, I think the idea is very beautiful, especially that it seems to have now arrived fix in Germany. But only in the course of next year remains to be seen whether this system is due to the aforementioned weaknesses really universal and flexible. Basically, you should probably also consider the alternatives (individual notebooks combine itself with a wide rubber band, alternative products on the market, etc.).
