Here we are talking about a fast charger, which recharges your batteries in 15 minutes. We must therefore accept the principle that:
- Your batteries will last less time than if you had taken the time to load with a slow charger
- This causes overheating fast charge (hence the fan, and where the noise and size slightly increased).
Personally I invested in a smart charger (same rate as above) and long durations kind eneloop batteries, but this kind of sacrament quick charger can help you out when you are short stack and can not wait hours that they are loaded (fifteen minute is really fast!).
Regarding this charger so:
- Simple to use: you put your batteries in it (even if there are not 4, it does), you plug it analyzes these batteries and starts charging: you see red LED in front of each battery charge and the fan pretty noisy, gets going
When the batteries are charged, the green LED replace the red and you can disconnect (even if the fan continues to turn him)
- It accepts AA batteries as the AAA batteries: perfect
- Well it load 15 '(at 75% load said the notice)
By leaving them in piles, I see them in turn pass from flashing green to solid green: I think they atteignet then 100% (but it's more than 15 minutes total)
- He would accept the brand batteries? (Not tested, not want to tempt fate).
Batteries included, findable here: Amazon.com/gp/product/B008NF1Y0Y
- It may be a little larger than others: quite thick because of the fan, and charger that plugs into the mains is pretty solid, but compared to my Lacrosse charger, it's not creepy either (ok the load block is almost double, but hey it makes no masses of space even more when absolute)
- The withdrawal, the refillable batteries. are sometimes a little hot (unless you leave them for long), but when I touch the charger in action, it is not hot at all, a sign that the fan does its job (and this is probably by security that it continues to break at the end, when the batteries are already charged)
CONCLUSION ---- ---
If you buy this type of charger, you do it because you need a quick charger, so knowingly.
So we accept that this is not very good for the life of its rechargeable battery, and it's heated, the fan is therefore necessary (and necessarily noisy and overall a bit bulkier that usually).
This accepted, it did the job perfectly, and helps me out well for example when I veuxx make an unexpected part of Wii / WiiU with friends, and it takes me quickly I do not know how many batteries for all wiimote ...
A good troubleshooting device so (for lamps as if exhausted by the time we have to leave)
Apart from this rather particular use when you're not pressed for time, we advise to use slow and intelligent chargers that will optimize the life of its batteries instead of pushing them to the end.
