Video at Amazon.com See anticipation: The cleaner is fine and drawn very well in spite of its only 1200 watts. It is made in the usual good Miele quality, but he also has this new floor nozzle AirteQ by Miele that drives me almost to madness. When sucking rattles, creaks, squeaks and schrappt the nozzle so on the ground that it horrifies me literally. I have a feeling, me to scratch the entire floor. Of course, this does not happen, but I've never had such a stiff nozzle of Miele! If you keep the suction tube very flat to suck for example, under a bed, the rollers do not roll back, but seem being caught repeatedly, so as to suck with the handbrake on. The nozzle hobbles on retraction literally across the floor. You can work around that by very, very slowly sucks. Since I like to work fast, this bothers me massively and I wonder what Miele was thinking. The problem is especially when vacuuming "around the bend" massively. You also have to constantly regulate when vacuuming on different substrates on the wattage. With my old Miele I could suck everything in one go with a preset wattage, whether velor laminate, Hochflorteppichallein switching at the nozzle was necessary. To suck velor is real hard work with this nozzle. When the curtain setting can push the nozzle reasonably effortless, but the suction force is then also not given. At first I thought I had a transportation lock or similar overlooked and have the nozzle upside down and touches everything and searched. But nothing of the sort. I tried it with reduced suction. The chatter remains. I guess it's up to the rubber wheels that are just not smooth and flexible enough. In addition, the nozzle is much too high. In my household there is no closet and no sofa below that fits this nozzle. For me this is a floor nozzle absolute no-go, and I will probably return the complete sucker, even if it is of very good workmanship. I wonder how a vacuum cleaner with the nozzle can be winner.
EDIT March 2014: Meanwhile, I have W / AirClean filter / 3-piece integrated accessories / Comfort-cable rewind / plus / minus foot control / hard floor brush SBB Parquet Twister exchanged this sucker up denMiele S8 Parquet Special Canister / 1200 and am thrilled. This is the same sucker in red instead of white. The only difference is the floor nozzle and the convinced, in fact: it is much quieter, squeaks and not schrappt, is very smooth and not hobbles over carpet. In addition, the Parquet still gets a very soft and pleasant Parquet, which is very suitable for sensitive laminate or wooden flooring. The suction power is on even floors to the AirTeQ in nothing, she sucks on carpets not as uncomfortable firm, but slides better.
MY CONCLUSION: The test winner was able to convince a sucker me though, the die is but unbearably loud and unwieldy. I recommend to take the Miele S8 Parquet special. A truly perfect sucker!
