As soon as you arrive the speaker I saw the support for the jack cable rather skeptical. The cable is thereby excited, albeit minimal. Keeps the long run?
Experience has shown, unfortunately, that does not find it. (Hearing or about 20 hours) after 2 battery charges had to lie down in accordance with the player to get a sound. The cable had a loose connection.
Over time, however, which was getting worse and after a further 3 battery charges the cable was completely up the ghost, you just have got now and then a noise from the speakers. The beautiful speaker was over. First one is about something naturally frustrated. I decided, however, to fix the speaker.
I have found that the problem clearly lies on the plug, not the cord. The cable is always exposed to a certain train inside the jack by the pressure in the cable holder, which does not last long. A new phone cable was needed. I simply used an AUX cable, which I had left. At Amazon such cables may be obtained for a few Euros.
However, it appeared that already screwing the speaker is complicated. The screws are located next to the bass tube when the X-Mini is screwed. One can not put the screwdriver directly on top of the screws, but only from the side. So you have to be extremely careful that the heads are not around.
If you have removed all the screws, you can remove the bottom of the board and the battery. Be sure that you do not destroy the small cable to the bass tube. When the battery is the way to a LiPo with a cell and 400 mAh, which the speaker about ~ 35-40 mAh consumed on average.
The phone cable of the speaker is generally very thin - the veins however. Why not thicker cable is used here, which can withstand the strain?
I have the new AUX cable is cut and the thick insulation stripped. Then the wires come to the fore, which are also stripped. These veins you have now solder. However, one must traverse before the cable through the hole in the lower half and possibly drill the hole bigger.
Now you can solder the individual wires: Connect the red wire to the right (R on the board) and the white represents the left (L on the board) and the black one is for ground (GND on the board).
If you have soldered everything, you can perform a test and check if everything is working. If everything works, you can see the box screw it and listen to music again.
I do not know if that's planned, but I am strongly believed. However, I think that with such a price is not very nice. On the non-removable battery, I will not go into, which is now in almost all devices of the case. Can you change the battery but still, simply screw and solder the new battery.
I am glad that everything is working again, but a stale aftertaste remains unfortunately anyway.
I invite in the customer gallery still high an idea of the repair. You can see the board of the speaker. The soldering points for the cable I makriert red.
