the EIZO 2736 worth paying extra? Yes!

The answer I anticipate: Yes it is it worth the money. I have occupied myself intensively with large monitors from 27 inches in WQHD resolution and the EIZO is recommended. Here in addition to the already available and some very detailed reviews supplement my confirmatory swage.

1. The picture

Black level: Very good. I am from a mirrored monitor (HP W2207) switched with a deep rich black (Mirrored TN halt Panel :-)) without having to make compromises and I was aware, but the black level of the device convinced me. I feel the black subjectively as "very black" and not dark gray etc.

Banding: No noticeable banding in all light levels at various test images. I use this same test, the images that are used for LCD TVs at Bandingtest. In very dark gray and green tones each banding is visible. The model present me any problems.

IPS GLOW: Does the light of certain dark areas of the screen. Is impossible to assess with me. No matter what level of brightness, regardless of viewing angle. Clean work Eizo!

Pixel error: no pixel errors, no dead pixels. That's how it should be.

Illumination: very homogeneous. Can not assign instruments but as noted already by other users the illumination for a 27 "monitor is very uniform and homogeneous.
I once worked on a HP ZR2740w and this was at a low brightness problem the white background wg. poor illumination even "yellow" worked. The Eizo scores since even at low brightness by very good homogeneity.

Remember that with EDGE LED monitors, the light is reflected from the sides. You can see that impressive when you turn on the monitor with no signal and the black screen is illuminated by 100% brightness (See the picture here in the User gallery!) 100% homogeneity does not exist, certainly not in EDGE LEDs.
But Eizo creates a very good homogeneity, so that the illumination is subjectively perceived all over the screen as evenly.

2. Ergonomics
The screen is horizontally and vertically adjustable in all directions. The screen can be adjusted optimally in accordance with the recommendations for decent work at the workplace. The screen is also tiltable.

3. Coating / surface coating of LCDs
Labor monitors have low reflection gem. His health and safety regulations. Many monitors the agressive "coating" results in glitter effects. Eizo is a good middle ground here. The screen is too little reflection without causing sparkle by coating an aggressive

I once read that the WQHD resolution particularly stressed the VRAM on the video card, I have to play the vertical synchronization via the game menu disabled (VSYNC OFF). The trend is clearly to large monitors with high resolution (WQHD).

Anyone looking for a monitor in the beginners class, to look at the DELL 2713HM and see whether he is satisfied with the image, the coating, and the often mentioned "operating noise".

Update after 2 weeks of operation:

There are no further amendments and there is nothing that displeases me in normal operation.
Unfortunately, the current graphics card is enough in some games under 2560x1440 not enough for FPS, but that's not a problem of the monitor.

On the contrary: The new-found space is heavily used to have all the information on a screen with multiple windows and doing again if necessary a window with Freeview TV run lassen- fantastically.
