The story follows a group of Spartans who were not uncommon at this time, after all, play "Reach" yes before the events of "Halo". This group is also known as the Noble team, they lead the struggle against the Alliance and to try with all our strength the last resistance point, namely to defend Reach, before the alien race is heading for Earth.
Story Technically "Reach" shiny, many important issues in "Halo" are explained here, as we learn the origin of Cortana. Unfortunately, the characters have little charm or recognizable compared to the trilogy. The Noble team remains, with few exceptions a pale bunch of Spartans, who are indeed quick-witted and bred warriors, but still remain rather stereotypically. I did not care if one or the other suddenly had to lose his life. Just in the previous parts of the successful series which had previously never been, actually had any character what what it mattered, the Chief with his mysterious, but cool style that funny, but sensitive Cortana, the macho even Johnson or even the bold and failed lord.
But convincing the grandiose graphic, with epic and grandiose, staged scenes a la Hollywood and typical, monumental music.
From the gameplay ago, little has changed: The great feel, developers have kept, but to get a lot of new weapons, such as the grenade launcher or countless new alliance pistols. Also on vehicles, there are some new additions, a highlight among others the stunning fight in space with the Sabre! Unfortunately, only one mission, but what the heck ... The alien races who also get an increase, with new Elite ranks and a new Jackal race. Even if it somehow seems strange that there were so many races, weapons and vehicles at the time of Reach, but you have to do but in "Halo" with about half of items and enemies.
I do miss a bit the dual weapons, for compensation to the new items and features, such as sprinting, jetpacks, shields and holograms. Very fine and clever idea!
There are a usual, fantastic multiplayer and online mode and the great firefight, according to which one can be addictive! Especially the "Gruntokalypse" has it done to me!
As stated, the music is all top notch again: Michael Salvatori Martin O'Donnell and kompnierten again a stunning symphony, although not quite come up to its predecessors, but are nevertheless the game an incredible amount of soul!
Unfortunately I have to attach that to me negatively regurgitates a little the sometimes unfair health of opponents: elites are "Legendary" totally overpowered. In "Halo 2" which was about the same, but here you sometimes tactical thinking must simply throw overboard and over and over and over again trying to get a checkpoint with a bit of luck. Of course, "legendary" no picnic, but you should still have the opportunity to play this game without many frustrating moments by.
Overall, however, also "Reach" is again a typical "Halo" title, with a crisp, if somewhat uninspired story, innumerable weapons, vehicles and enemies, great multiplayer, online and Feuergefechtmodi and impressive music! Now you can also "Halo 4" come!
