Today I received the Sony BDV-E290. Since I have a Samsung UE46ES6530 with Smart TV and it was used by my Philis BluRay Player + to use the Anynet, I wavered in my decision to buy long between the Samsung HT-E4500 and the Sony BDV-E290.
In the description of the Sony was more than a little by the ARC (AudioReturnCannel) ... but no use to me very little, because I do not like to fiddle with 2 Fernbed. around.
A short mail to Sony then brought clarity.
The BDV-E290 supports HDMI control. So in the cart and using a small voucher picked up the part for 174 euros. Now that's really cheap ... but also with the 199 euros an absolute price hit.
Unpacked (well packed), connected (altogether. Only 1 hr.) And tested.
Almost Impeccable control via the HDMI cable - Important !!! Always use the HDMI2 port! Volume up, volume, menu buttons, toggle the menu runs via my Samsung FB.
The only thing I's criticisms that the volume of the 3D player when adjusting with the Samsung FB will not be displayed on the screen. The function it does nevertheless. So not so bad.
Positives:
- Good quality of the player and the speakers / No fabric covering in the pit but grid.
- Brisk starting a BR
- Fast switching
- Fan noise audible, but under
- Very good sound characteristics - several modes, each Speaker. adjustable in decibels.
- Good sound reproduction for audio CD's & FM (TV is not required for there own display)
- Long cables for speakers - at 30sqm sufficient.
Negatives:
- Remote looks cheap, bad feel.
- Player has arched shape, no "stacking" for suitable.
- Buttons are located above the front, yet is easily accessible.
Neutral:
- Docking Station I do not need, did not have an iPhone.

After my wife told me that she feels that the voices muffled act as if you had a towel in front of her mouth, I looked into the matter ... and it was true, clearly the true voices very dull. On Angfang me is not so noticed sheer 5.1 sound experience and the 1000 settings. Then it drove me mad, helped no settings, no ProLogic, sound modes, Neo: Cinema6 yet Neo: Music
Nothing to be done ... it has rankled me. Even the change of the center and adjust the decibel of the Center did nothing. On the site for all still ignorant: the voices are output from the center. So email to Amazon. These have then immediately sent me a new plant. Lo and behold !!! New Center angschlossen and the voices have a clear sound, and are not dull!
