I do not want to repeat the themes of other good reviews, but row me so in rather bad midfield ..
As a player, the first hour of the Total War series like many here I would like to briefly express what already extremely busy myself:
Pro:
- The game looks chic, but requires too much processing power resulting in smaller stuttering and disturbing short dropouts.
- Diplomacy makes at least at first glance sense of what is already a step forward to its predecessors
- The unit diversity (where there is a but here, this soon)
- The Group of diversity
Cons:
For me incomprehensible how in the run was the KI praise so here. A idiotischere AI I've rarely experienced. 98% of all battles I must not play because the opponent with ner handful drooling idiots marching before a full garrison town and slaughtered ..
Should I even deign to play off a battle because the enemy has managed time an equally large army as set up my ..naja, .. then actually begins worst ..
-To Win a battle in Rome 2 you just built as a Roman heavy infantry (of course Praetorians, the one thrown at after calming handful laps in each Kackprovinz gets as rotten apples) and a few cavalry units.
Since the enemy "IQ" slipping into negative territory from the beginning of the battle, the opponents usually remain standing (which I have often think of slobbering silly idiots here although register what belongs to you, but your brain can not process what's happening before being abgemetzelt).
The Praetorians then storm just purely what moves everything up. Then begins an unmanageable pixels battle in which no real movement is possible, and you can hardly control his units .. but what really matter is because our Penetrator .... sry .. Praetorian slaughter everything eh what can run away fast enough net ,
-From The sea / land battles is just bad. What there is the Navy anyway? But that was already discussed in other reviews.
-When The unit diversity, it is also a pity, because you just do not need many of the units, since it is precisely among the Romans the Praetorians the ne plus ultra are practically ..
-The Long-term motivation comes after a few hours already to dive.
By huge fraction diversity, sadly, that there to no real "enemy" is hardly more. Each faction controls one or two regions or a handful cities. Focusing his army in three well-equipped full armies, you can even cross massacre by the European antiquity.
-I Have not as yet understood what the Senate is good, and why do I have to tolerate any other family besides me.
-What Exactly make slaves? Do I need to leave something to rebel other than se every now and then to then to massacre of my Prätorianerinnen?
-The Skills of the generals, armies, etc are so confusing that I've often after a climb just "something" click it, because it does not matter and I anyway do not notice the effect in the game. Sometimes I find myself that I netmal more Bock have the ability to increase. WOOOW + 2% melee damage, .. which of course is ne impact the battle in a very crass comes out .. especially when the general eh felt after 10 years anyway dies of old age ..
- The "tech tree" ... I did not know if I should laugh or cry .. how can you be so uncreative and boring?
Conclusion: I have been looking forward to a really great Rome 2, namely see potential .. but right now I'm just looking pretty enttäuscht..mal what bring the next patches so ..
