Although I did not have high expectations, but because I am at least a little disappointed. It is significantly more plastic fitted than I thought (eg the "bridge" between the eyepieces), I would have expected at Olympus made in China despite different. Works good in itself, but the question arises how long that lasts. However, here the comparison with other lenses in this price range I lack. Otherwise, the glass is well in hand and meets in appearance at least my taste fully. Benefits: - Excellent presentation day, sharp, high contrast, good field of view and bright colors - Not too heavy and comfortable grip, is thus well in hand - Leichtgänging work sharpness adjustment and diopter compensation and sufficient accuracy Disadvantages: - Especially at night watching stars falling on at least a small error of the optical axes, one sees quite often a double image (despite the fact that both lenses are just screwed ;-)). - Also on the stars (very high distance) makes me felt that the image without glasses (about -5.5 diopters) can no longer be difficulty focusing on the left eye. With glasses, the image is as sharp as ever, but very small. Furthermore, the enlargement is for me personally borderline, freehand I can hold the glass is very difficult calm. I can see that but of course more than my problem and not as a technical deficiency. Conclusion: Had I paid the RRP, I would send the glass back. But if (66.49) I'll keep it for observations during the day, because it really provides a good representation here. For astronomical purposes (was meant to complement my telescope) I will, however, make me at times to look for a 8x50 with better processing.
