Eiswürfen OK - Material K. o.

What have I done?

1st Dose in the dishwasher ("overdrive")
2. Water pure (not quite full)
3. Freezing
4. Open the lid

-> Tab on the long side has become detached.

Cause could be that water droplets on the sealing ring cause an excessive burden on the tabs at the freezing process. Or: The material is too brittle in the freezer and is simply not suitable.

The shape and size of ice cubes also do not like it. Dissolution may be the dice but relatively easy when you slightly warms the form to the appropriate place from the bottom with two fingers. Thanks to cover anything falling out unintentionally.

As long as the other three tabs hold I will use the ice maker yet. It fulfills an important purpose that is despite all the criticism: No freezer taste in Eiswürfe.
