Knowing that the film prochainnement go out to the cinema where I plan to go see it, then it was essential that I gives me the novel that inspired the film. The book tells us the adventures of a young extraterrestrial being part of the ten-nine survivors from the planet Lorien whose people have suffered genocide worldwide. These young people are the only survivors and unfortunately the only chance to race to fight Mogadoriens these soulless beings with pale and sun-sensitive skin that are responsible for the demise of their nation. Among these ten new Loriens, only nine of them are potentially endowed donations that can rivaled with the power of Mogadoriens. However, before the birth of their powers, are totally Loriens to thank you for Mogadoriens who sent home on Earth. To cope with the danger, a spell has been developed which involves not being able to kill teenagers in a predefined order. But fate remains active if the Loriens remain separate. We follow the story in the first person in the head four number which happens to be next on the list of prisoners. John (her peudonyme) do not feel out of place in this world. Forced to move daily with his mentor Henri at the slightest sign of danger is too great a weight for her frail shoulders. This situation has never given him the opportunity to be part of a group of friends or falling in love. But everything could change when he arrived in the small town of Paradise lives up to its name when he meets Sarah, passionate about photography and old cheerleader who carries a concealed non-interest for the young man. Thus begins the trouble for John who discovers first love. The romance itself is simple, innocent, a great modesty and unambiguous. We can also note the absence of love triangle, which is rare nowadays. In parallel we follow with some enthusiasm the entrainnement John. During the major part of the novel, the rythmme will slow, tranquil even though the threat remains behind. But the story remains exciting thanks to the flow of the text and also through flashbacks of his life spent in Lorien. The action really takes off on the last 200 pages where the text grabs us and never giving us as rich revelations and the appearance of an unexpected ally. The novel ends in heartbreaking separations and it will surely several months to discover the rest. To conclude this review, I suggest you read this you're a fan of science fiction or not, this novel will appeal to both young and older children.
