Grace LastRecord is somewhat of a mixed bag. Bulletproof Heart which recorded in 1987 but shelved for two years until its release in 1989. Grace Was not happy with the final mix of the album, but she shut Agreed to release it. I do not see why Grace what a hundred percent happy with the final result; some songs sound very dated "Paper Plan" and "Crack Attack" is bordering laughable, When it comes to the rap intro. Anyways, I still consider this to be one record of her most musically challenged piece of work, to date. Despite of the obvious flaws, "Bulletproof Heart" does have some truly stunning moments like the rousing "Someone to Love" and the Spanish flavored "Amado Mio" which ranks as Both some of the best songs ever she's recorded. On the album she explores everything from straight 80's pop / rock "Kicked Around" to striking r'n'b "On My Way" which by the way is my personal favorite, I just positively adore it to death. Even if some of the songs on the album are weak, Grace herself has never sounded better. She displays her full vocal range on "Kicked Around" on Which Her Voice Reaches unbelievable heights; On the lead single "Love on Top of Love" her voice soars as she kicks it to life with her incredible range. On the song "Seduction Surrender" she Reaches back to the movie "Vamp" Simply Because The song sounds so much alike to the title song from the movie. The 2004 reissue is done perfect, the mastering is perfect and they've even included 4 bonus tracks, a garage House Mix of "Love on Top of Love, a wonderful Brazilian mix of" Amado Mio ", a wonderful pop tune" Dream " and a stunning duet with the album producer Chris Stanley "Do not Cry Freedom". When all is Said and Done, "Bulletproof Heart" remains one of her finest pieces of work, some might agree and some might say That I'm on drugs, but personally, the album has meant so much to my life.
