For those who know the Harvest Moon already beginning comes the familiar: It takes a farm, this is farming, make money, get married, raise a family and make friends with the villagers.
What is new is that this time you must decide on one of two possible farms themselves. On one of emphasis rather is on the livestock. On the other particular emphasis on agriculture. Furthermore, should one the two warring villages also reconciled with each other.
Depending on which farm (and thus for which the village) you decide to run the first day in the game differently. You get on the Farm in Blue Bell at the beginning of a few animals given and must wait a long time until one finally gets declared agriculture (and the tools gets ...), so you get to the farm in Konohana at the beginning all the necessary tools for agriculture, along with some seeds. Also the game feeling as such, it makes a difference what village one joins. So you get For example, other clothes and assumes other fixed part.
But the most important aspect of the game is probably the cooking festival. This takes place in the 4 x month and is the only way to settle the dispute between the villages. I personally like the cooking party very well, even if the always same monologue the referee times really annoying at the latest after the 12 ... In general, the constant dialogue with the villagers have taken all quite long, which can after a while really nervous, just because you these talks can not just cancel.
Even the road between the two villages is quite far and is boring. On the positive side, however, that you can ride outside the own farm with horses and even may take his entire stock in the form of a car.
I personally noticed negative is the length of the day.
Whether you rather grows crops or looking after the cattle ... you have often times long wait for the evening to finally pour a second time (shortened the maturity) or the cattle again to bring in the stable (they do not like it to spend the night there ... but must stay out long enough to feed).
Positives:
- Very nice graphics
- The new element of the two villages brings a beautiful story into play
- Different feel, depending on the choice of the Farm
- If you no longer satisfied with his choice, you can at the end of the month just move to another village! (If you want, you can fully develop in this way both farms and use partly)
- Even with the normal villagers the current friendship level is displayed in the conversation!
- The livestock is very pleasant (no annoying hanger when in and out bringing that food ends up without any problems in the trough, etc.)
- The statements at the beginning of the game are simple and understandable
Negatives:
- The Einfürhung beginning is really long-winded ... it takes almost half the spring until you finally get everything explained
- The days draw partly very in length
- Extension of the house, etc. is always at the start only once a month is possible, thereby a faster progress on their own farm prevented
- The shops are on rainy days to ... that makes rainy days really sometimes very boring / annoying!
All in all this is a very successful Harvest Moon. It's fun and if you have patience, you will soon sufficiently advanced that it is no longer everything runs so slow.
For the impatient who want to achieve anything in the 1st year favorite, this game is most definitely not!
