100 of my garden Seasonal recipes (Hardcover)

Customer Review

One thing is certain, we have here what might be called a beautiful book. Nice cover, nice paper, beautiful pictures (and I mean beautiful) and friendly recipes, well described and original. Jamie Oliver here is a mix of recipes and cooking gardening. He tells us how he grows his tomatoes and presto! here he reveals some of his recipes tomato. Ditto for rhubarb, strawberries, eggs (well, OK, it does not push the eggs but he chickens !!!), etc.
The whole is rather well put together, well, well marketé.
The problem (as there always a catch or a but ...) it is the side a bit megalomaniac me / I / I I / Jamie. Okay, we like it, it is nice and cool but good. "How I grow asparagus", "how I grow cabbages", "how I grow my tomatoes", "my fantastic green beans" and "my luscious mashed potatoes" ... It is a bit too ... (not? Is not it?)
We forgive him anyway because it's him and that his "Rock'n Roll Kitchen" or its "Jamie's kitchen" were on top.

However, if I can afford it, a BIG downside: a chapter on hunting in this book! Pictures of dead hares, an apology for hunting. It was useless to me ... and cruel.
