Since the two home theater systems were found in any single Munich Store, I have against my usual habits ordered both devices and compared a couple of hours together. The Philips 7200 Philips HTS 7200 Blu-ray Home Cinema System (HDMI, 1080p upscaler, DivX Ultra Certified, 440 Watt, USB 2.0) Black like much by its high-quality workmanship and to me personally by the perfect interaction with my Philips 40PFL7605H. What has annoyed me, however, is fairly large subwoofer, which can not be runterregeln enough. I can not just those Baßorgien from and had quickly headache. The Pioneer here is the much finer tunable device, with a narrow (but effective) Subwoofer. The image quality in Blurays I find just a tad bit better than at Philips, with faster reading. The sound overall is - especially if you also listen to music with it möchte- at Pioneer simply elegant. The reduced design with the illuminated only slightly and in white volume knob I like top. Radio reception (via cable Germany Digital) I find also a tad better than the Philips 7200. The remote control is easy to operate. The movie playback (multiple formats) and MP3 via USB and and MP3 via the front entrance funktioneren well.
The disadvantages compared to the Philips: -The two stereo speakers do not look so chic like Philips (but I do not care, because the Pioneer sound better) -The Pioneer system can no HDMI ARC and has no digital RCA input (and this is the major drawback of the system), ie TV-audio signals from the TV can not play, unfortunately, at least with my brand new Philips TV not. That is very unfortunate and I hope for an update, so that the return signals can be utilized by HDMI. Music or movies on TV with sound through the system would be top ...
For TVŽs the optical sound signals but corresponding connections at Pioneer are available to spend.
Nevertheless, I am satisfied and would buy again the system.
