The unit I bought in the domestic construction market, since it was there on offer. I could therefore take part locally in the hand and did this for just under 100, - found to be good.
Pros:
- Surprisingly good workmanship for a China firecrackers
- Powerful motor with electronic speed adjustment (approximately 1000-3000 U / min)
- Metal gear housing
- Replacement coals
- The supplied additional handle can be mounted on the right and left
- Large arrow marking the direction of rotation on the housing
- Very long power cable
- Is normally warm after prolonged use, but not hot
Cons:
- Rather heavy, only partially suitable for overhead work
- Absolutely dust bag useless and ineffective, industrial vacuum necessary
- Bundled grinding wheels deficient, immediately dull
- When selected low speed of the juice start taking a long time, so very, very gently
- No vacuum cleaner adapter included. But by tape tinker adaptation possible for a real handyman no problem
- Quite noisy, ear protection recommended
At first I was very skeptical, but after I made my new grinding wheels (German brand manufacturers with X at the end) and concerned myself with the machine, it got started. I had to grind a 5 x 2,50m large plasterboard wall on which I had to fill in a large area. Set new bag in the vacuum cleaner and what can I say in a very short time was the smooth wall and the bag full. I have the grit reduced steadily from coarse to fine, and finally the wall was so smooth that I could emphasize this right know without edges and visible seams. When I think that I would just 5kg spatula me hand to grind, I can not think about it only the edge portions (about 1 cm) must be reworked by hand. But that is in the nature of things that the wheels do not reach through the housing the edge. This is but most expensive grinders too.
A huge advantage is that the grinder drawn up by the suction from the vacuum cleaner on the wall and almost loses his entire weight. To this end, on the grinder regulation exist where the liability can be set. The more vapor of the vacuum cleaner, the greater the adhesion. If the liability but too strong, can be regulated by secondary air.
I also sanded even a wall that I had previously plastered with Rotband adhesive-applied plaster. With a fine disk (150er and fine) and low speed allowed himself this smooth grind as a baby. One should not hang the machine completely flat but has unilaterally exert a little more pressure so that this does not begin to dance to the handle. Anyone who has ever worked with a rotary sander know what I mean.
Tip: Unfortunately the Velcro pads, is just 115mm tall, which is not a common measure. However, the 125mm discs of F..x also fit. The holes cover 1: 1 and the slightly larger diameter (5 mm radius) does not bother and just fits so still Unters housing. There are of F..x a Schleifscheibenset with 25 discs (5 pieces per grain), this I can highly recommend the discs have an extremely long service life.
Otherwise, I can say for the occasional user certainly ne option. I would have preferred to have a grinder made in Germany or Japan, but you have to set priorities. A grinder from equipment rentals had 38, - cost per day. So borrow 2.5 days = matrix paid.
From me 4 star, a star deduction for the grinding wheels, the unusual 115mm sanding pad and gentle to soft start.
