- Update on the firmware version of the December was no problem
- Motion detection and recording on a CIFS share on my Windows Home Server (v1) works
- Mail delivery in motion detection or tamper works very quickly (almost instantly)
- Connection to Android devices work very reliably
But I have some criticisms:
- The Software TRENDnet View is really scrap: I could not persuade her to record only when motion is detected. The software has recorded continuously and permanently recognized movement.
- The HTML user interface should be used only in English, because only in that language function, all buttons and you understand the options.
- With Internet Explorer, the HTML user interface works only partly Sometimes functions can not be activated..
So far I have not found a good freeware to replace TRENDnet View without tinkering that I could install on my home server. So I let my two cameras once record directly to my server. The disadvantage is that you can view the videos only on the HTML interface of the respective camera. But this is to cope with two cameras yet.
I'm curious to see how the cameras have proven themselves in the field.
