Soundtrack waning in the late 80

1989 Prince was committed to the soundtrack for einzuspielen Batman movie. And of course he then equated this album completely alone finished.
And the sad thing about the whole thing is that just Prince, who has always held high the banner of the timelessly beautiful pop music in the gruesome 80s and unrivaled shot through the decade, here's where but the 80s were almost at an end, a victim of sterile Plastic sound was.
And with "The Future" this album is even going great. This song is super arranged and has a great düsterne Atmosphere. But already in "Electric Chair" Prince skin us the drum machine around the ears that you want to automatically duck once heard the song.
"The Arms Of Orion" is then a typical eighties ballad. But not necessarily one of his best.
"Partyman" but I like that. Here fits the pounding drum machine. The song is an entertaining, fun number.
The best song, however, is "Vicky Waiting". Really great reclined number. And regardless of the Batman album a generally excellent Prince composition. "Trust" makes then continue where "Electric Chair" has stopped. "Lemon Crush" is a little better, because not so intrusive. And with "Scandalous" is there still a great Prince ballad. But the "Batdance" spoil the beautiful mood, the "Scandalous" has created again. Because this song is simply unbearable. Too bad that Prince has "his decade" so ended. But the bottom line is go 3 stars okay because here it can be discerned still some highlights.
