Easier to find -Einschaltknopf for lamp - especially in the dark)
-The dimming is spacious (at NafNaf you had quite a long time at the wheel turn)
-Alarmschalter More accessible
The built-in alarm sounds are pleasant and the USB function and 2 alarm times are a significant plus.
When HF3485 me, however, the lamp brightness is compared to NafNaf at the beginning of the sunrise too bright. But the achievable end-brightness NafNaf is significantly lower (40W bulb vs. 100W halogen).
What I also found better when NafNaf is the sleep that has been activated directly on the snooze button. When HF3485 these feelings are much more pressing keys and setting the sleep time is cumbersome, since you can not easily blindly grope the necessary +/- buttons. The "shortcut" through "3s lamp-one press" helps because not much, because by default 0min are set and you have a few seconds to change that. It is better if the lamp would equal here 15min "suggest" as the default would.
Whether favored by Philips Rocker variant for the selection of alarms and deactivation of the alarm now or not useful, one can argue about it, however. One must not forget to activate the alarm again stop, otherwise you slept through the next day. Older generations (to which I expressly do not count) are likely to have less trouble since because mechanical tick-tock-clock you have to reauthorize every night ... and possibly ... After all, the latter remains a raise when HF3485 saves ...: o)
The standby consumption is both devices Topp (HF3485: 1.7W, NafNaf:
Otherwise, there is the HF3485 few minus points, which are better resolved in any known to me Lichtwecker:
1) display brightness. Good that you can dim it, but when I runterdimme photosensitive legally, I can see nothing in daylight or activated lamp. That's why my LCD Funkwecker will probably continue on the bedside table are ... Better would be here a brightness sensor or at least the automatic switching to full brightness when the lamp is on.
2.) bedside lamp function vs. Lichtwecker. Why can the world not better to separate them? I use the lamp as a bedside lamp and dimme on cuddly suitable brightness, then I want to be woken up anyway at full brightness. Unfortunately, that is not so readily, but the last set brightness is automatically wake-brightness. When NafNaf that was that. After all, I can turn off the lamp when HF3485 and still set in the dark nor the Weckhelligkeit without getting a light shock.
The same relates to the wake-up volume. What to do if I want to hear only the evening very quiet music to fall asleep and in the morning but need more power? It does not work. Did not go well at NafNaf. At least you can change the volume with the HF3485 parked Radio.
But both forces me to control the volume and brightness before going to sleep and I must not forget to put them to the correct values ... So much stress before falling asleep ...
3.) USB port. He feels safe optically pure (with attached USB flash drive) to promote sales, but more practical would be a discreet SD card reader. Then the USB stick would not protrude so. In addition, flash USB sticks. Luckily there's a USB extension cable ...
4.) Is it too much to ask, in a more expensive device nor a DCF77 radio module installed? Especially when you consider that a radio alarm clock for 5 euros are thrown at the supermarket? Another reason to let my LCD Funkwecker continue to stand on the bedside table ...
These are all issues that should be actually eliminated after several generations lamp and its competitors. One wonders whether the manufacturer has actually tested the lamp times over several days in practice ...
Conclusion: I think the HF3485 a bit overpriced and not mature 100%, but for lack of an alternative, I would buy him a heavy heart again.
