First the SD adapter plugged in and a card, on which I have JPEG images stored inserted. Prompt an error message appeared that the device is not supported. In the manual (available on the Apple site) is no longer included in error. So then googled what might be going on. Aha, the card must therefore have a DCIM directory. Otherwise nothing works. After creating the directory and copying the images, there is no problem. Of course - if I take the card directly from my camera, this directory exists innately.
The images can not be displayed directly from the SD card. Only an import is necessary. Why always so complicated?
As you would expect from Apple's usual: You should be very, very carefully take the product name / description).
For the USB adapter surprised more so. It can do more than just a camera connected. Not only the connection of a USB stick works with relative ease, but also connect to a USB keyboard (one should not be deterred by the error message indicating that the device is not supported). The umlauts function. Even the tab key is temporarily useful. What else is supported (USB microphones etc) is nachlesbar in various forums.
Oh yes - I am writing this review with the iPad and the keyboard.
