Advantages:
- very quiet
- Efficient cooling
Pre-applied thermal grease already -
- Good workmanship
Disadvantages:
(Motherboard must be removed) relatively costly installation -
- Fasten the fan a little shaky (is held by only two brackets on the fins, but holds good even in vertical operation)
The Pure rock really is super quiet and efficient. It cools again 2-3 degrees lower than the Arctic Freezer. I use it on an Intel LGA 1155 socket with a i7-3770 processor (not overclocked). Since I do not need high-performance, the value of this fan is perfect.
Only the installation is a little more tricky. I must say that I've never installed a CPU fan (the Arctic Freezer is only plugged) and the Pure rock the motherboard needs to be strengthened so that the backplate can be mounted. But even I as an absolute (female) beginners, it did manage with a bit of tact and courage in about 2 hours)
The dimensions are just fits my ASUS PC, he should not have been greater. The fan covers with me a RAM module, but that does not bother extent.
All in all, really a great part, if you do not want to spend much money on a CPU cooler and a quiet fan wants. Simply unbeatable :)
