After I had played through the preliminaries, I came into the card and free driving mode and immediately had a flashback: Wow, that's like that time at "Sid Meier's Pirates!" Pure enthusiasm, joy, absolute bliss turned on. I have long mourned this game, then the Amiga - now it's back. And how! I'll just describe next how I as a player perceives the game, not what happens in the game, and what events the players expect - that would be a shame, because a lot of small gimmicks and nice surprises in the game waiting.
Not only do you have a scary big and wide range of motion - you can experience an awful lot to see, do, do ... it's a pleasure. After more than an estimated 50 hours of gameplay + I now stand at 70% gaming experience and so slow the adventure tends probably the end. I can only say: bombastic! Once the add-on is available, I will get me this also. But there despite all the enthusiasm here as well (as unfortunately ..) a downer ...
The game, despite all the quality of the graphics lost at game level. If you, for example, after several attacks against Spanish ships hunted as a pirate and sunk a bit clumsy, the game goes to the same place on. Likewise, there is a respawn when you fight (yet) on powerful opponents and subject. After respawn opponents are back - and as aggressive. In addition, it never succeeds Ubisoft well, finally program the character so that he would not run in a completely different direction than you directing the assassins or unmotivated jump on walls, where you really want to walk along ... The main missions are my think very badly designed linear - and thus no real asset. But what, in turn, is like that to experience you can directly evaluate a reminder. Very good thing.
What also is again powerfully excited the most successful soundtrack with shanties and songs typical of the respective islands - it's scary to explore fun to travel - and to swim. The graphic selection, the atmospheric implementation and monitoring horizon make insane fun and wanting more of something - it is slowly but the question of which areas still remain open for future games now - the story of the tsarist Russia could be quite continued sense.
A little tip for all interested players: Use your map and explore as much as possible. Ride also on coasts and looking around extensively - there are an awful lot of secrets and diverse. And even if the card is uncovered, so many surprises on beaches or small islands are not shown and only appear when it expires.
