It is with pleasure that I plunged back into the world of "Pride and Prejudice". At the end of the works of Jane Austen, Charlotte was left in a marriage of convenience. She had not had his happy ending !! Jennifer Becton repaired this. The novel begins with the funeral of Mr Collins. The character was not really friendly and really ridiculous, no tears is paid (nor the characters nor the reader). Charlotte is a widow and independent. It becomes the chaperone her sister in her quest for a husband (at the time a woman could be accomplished in marriage). 2 men quickly made their appearance in Charlotte's entourage and as in "Pride and Prejudice", one has the air of a gentleman and will prove to be a junk and the other will have the nonconformist air or little scupuleux and will prove trustworthy and be the perfect gentleman. As for Maria, Charlotte's sister, she has the air of Lydia Bennet. But unlike the latter, it will mature and will put the interests of his sister before his own. This novel takes the strings of "Pride and Prejudice". The author managed to plunge us back into the 19th century England, although some passages reveal that the book is of our time. I took great pleasure in reading this novel that I recommend to all those who loved "Pride and Prejudice".
