The small price justifies the guard, if only for one purpose and especially telephoto (I use it with a mirror 500). Indeed, the focus is more than doubled, making it unattractive for a large angle (17 or 28 mm). The development is better for close subjects, it is fair to infinity. The installation is acceptable, even if it lacks some precision.
