First, notice that the TV optically really so expect! In its aluminum look and in its narrow design, it looks really great and is with its size of 140 cm diagonal, a real eye-catcher.
With Ambilight This effect is of course further considerably intensified - with me this was less important when buying (but my girlfriend).
The decor was very simple - you will be guided through a menu. Here you get shown split images that differ in color or sharpness. And you have to decide which side you like best. At the sound it happens similarly with 3 sound alternatives. So picture and sound can be adjusted according to individual needs.
An eye-catcher is also the image - especially in HD channels! A razor-sharp image with vivid colors. I've hardly seen a better picture with another TV!
Even with SD programs like the picture in principle - of course it is less brilliant compared to HD.
A highlight for me is then the 3D function, although that was really important to me when buying. So the TV uses passive 3D technology, which has very little glasses. Moreover Easy3D is supported, which I can use the 3D glasses from our CineStar! :) So I got another 2 adults and 2 children Glasses for only 4. It's this probably is not!
Of course, two 3D glasses were already adults when TV here.
By passive 3D technology has over most other 3D TVs no flicker (especially with bright backgrounds) - the picture is much quieter. So it is a less bad fast. In addition, you have a better color rendering.
The 3D image is definitely the best thing I had ever seen in a television - and I've seen a few.
The TV's sound is compared to other flat panel TVs also very good, of course, but still not as good as usual from the good old tube. But that does me so the Dolby 5.1 system.
Another advantage of the Philips 55PFL7606K is the viewing angle, which is one of the largest with flat panel TVs. Thus, no less than 4 people are sitting next to each other and have the full contrast. Since other flat-panel televisions are significantly worse.
I still have a Sony PlayStation 3 connected with the games and I BluRays look. Again, a top image - no streaks, nothing.
A few negative points but then enumerate:
The remote control is not optimal. It has two nested control crosses each other. While this means that the remote control is very compact, but that also makes very happy and very often to faulty operation.
The SD card that I use may only be used for the online video store. Why can not I it (32GB) does not sometimes take what?
To record, you can connect an external USB hard drive. This is then formatted in a Philips format and is then only used for this purpose. In my opinion, unnecessary.
The switching is very slow and sometimes the remote control depends then they're on. Then I have to switch on the TV once - then it'll work again.
The online services work pretty reliably for me. However, they are also (for me at least) pretty uninteresting and awkward to use.
CONCLUSION:
The picture is in SD and HD simply top! For this purpose the 55PFL7606K is a top 3D TV! The sound is also fairly well. The viewing angle is true here also. In addition, plenty of connection options are available. This makes for me primarily a top of TV!
The flaws that I have listed, are sometimes annoying, dull the fun at the picture and sound but not really. Therefore, I have decided to withdraw no star and 5 to forgive me here out of 5 stars.
