I once tried the cotton to various surfaces (chrome, aluminum, zinc, brass, silver, chromed plastic parts) and note that the results are impressive. Coating on the chrome surfaces, and in particular the unfortunately increasingly use place in vehicle chromed plastic parts, rust, stains of all kinds could be removed without much effort. At conservative chrome surfaces on metal surface of cars, it is so far the best way that I have tried. I also scored very good results on spokes, hubs, rims and engine parts of my already older motorcycles. Therefore, full marks.
