Not many improvements to its predecessor, yet highly recommended

I am fascinated by it, that still new games blockbuster appear for the PS3, such as in this case, Far Cry. 4
I play Far Cry 4 on my PS3, which is connected to a 32 "TV. I will update this review from time to time, so that strengths and weaknesses of the game that are not yet known to me until now, can be added.

In addition, I will refer in this review, as a comparison, much at Far Cry 3. Far Cry 3 and the current successor are very similar from the structure of the missions and the dynamics.
This review, however, is also suitable for Far Cry newcomers.
And, as I always handle it at reviews on PS3 games, the important thing at the beginning:

I do not write here about the mission content but am referring primarily to the universal, on the game dynamics and on the environment of Far Cry 4. There are two simple reasons:
1. No charge Spoilergefahr.
2. Whether a like mission content or not, varies from player to player. Therefore, it is difficult to consider these in a general review.

1. General:
Far Cry 4 is an open world shooter, which plays in the Himalayas and other fictional places. Convince not only the fight scenes, but also the dialogues. These are namely, just as it did in the previous Far Cry 3, often tinged with humor and wit.
Among the various missions you have the freedom to choose whether to do it discreetly or rather with the "crowbar".
So you can shake up an enemy camp, for example, by driving an elephant in this inside. Through the resulting unrest can easily turn off the enemies inconspicuous.
As much fun there but also to grab a vehicle and crashes into the camp in a wild shooting and fanning.

There are in addition to the main missions are many more things you can do. Since there are various side missions, collectibles tasks and a Coop mode by one can play some missions with his colleagues.

Otherwise reminds Far Cry 4 very close to his predecessor. It is put back before some decisions that affect the end. So you have more times to play through the chance to play with alternative ends. The main missions are very reminiscent of the predecessor. Unfortunately saved in the emissions at checkpoints. So I had to after the failure of a mission, just 4-5 minutes to sneak back to the appropriate place. The first time, no problem. Disturbing though it is when you have to play this section 3-4 times. Something positive you can still draw: Man playing clearly tactical and so tried few enemies, as it is only possible to draw attention to themselves.

Both the menu and the entire sound has been synchronized in German.

2. Control:
The fourth part is played back from the first person perspective.

There are more weapons than ever. Since we have the standard weapons such as sniper rifles, S - mines, grenades, knives, mortars, shotgun, AK47, etc. However, there are also all natural weapons that you can use in the game. Among other things, you can Animals to drive to fight against his enemies. Thus, a tiger or elephant just as effectively act as a grenade launcher.

3. Vehicles and driving dynamics:
Here, my opinion has changed since the most. It has a decent selection of vehicles. As would be again the Jeep and the beach buggy, as we know it from Part 3. In addition, but also Snowmobile, vans, boats, ATV's and a jump are - Suite offered.
Even with the means of transport the wildlife again plays a major role. So you can, ökobewusst how to be, let the Jeep stand and spend the day exploring on the pachyderms.
To explore the Map is the Gyro - copter, an open small helicopters by sitting, ideally suited. For many side missions that flying object is handy because you can create great distances quickly.
In particular, the dynamics has improved. Thus, a vehicle can finally go more realistic than before. But I must confess, too much should not be expected. The game happens to have placed its priorities to other categories, for example, on the environment. And so we come to the next point .:

4. Environment:
In Far Cry 3 I found the map quite well done. The vegetation and wildlife has been well implemented. This part has been refined even further. There are significantly more and different plant and animal species. Many of these animals have to be careful that you will not be attacked. Very entertaining it, if you can watch how to fight two different animal species. Also one can collect many of the plants and thus activate different objects. For example, one can be made from plants picked spraying with curative effects or drug reactions. From hunted animals are upgrades like a bigger ammo belt or a better backpack.

As the game among other plays in the mountains, there are of course different vegetations.
Unfortunately, you only play very little in the mountains and most of the time in forests. This is very reminiscent of Far Cry 3, and you quickly forget that you actually located on an entirely different site.

5. Graphic:
This is not bad, but also not a highlight. Real improvements to the third part does not exist. Here you can in games like GTA 5 see what you still have can get the most out of already 8 year old console generation. Granted, it would probably have taken a few more years until the fourth part of Far Cry would hit the market.
Although the graphics are not really a milestone, but the gameplay does this not detract.
But that is bleating at a high level.

6. Sound:
This has greatly improved. So the weapons finally listen to different and especially realistic. The sounds of nature have become more intense. You hear different animals and the crackling and popping of different floor surfaces.
But the car noises can still make a wish on.

7. Summary:
Far Cry 4 is an absolutely successful game. Especially the entertaining dialogues in the missions and to the brutality leave, a plunge into the bizarre and cruel world of the main protagonists.
Admittedly not have Far Cry 4 many improvements over its two year old predecessor. Nevertheless, preparing the story and the well-done a few Map entertaining hours of play. Both for Far Cry newcomers, as well as for fans of the first hour of this part should provide great pleasure.
