Tested under 8 win and win 8.1: the cable does not work because Windows detects that it is a Chinese counterfeit chip and off the device.
XP operation is OK (tested with OBDFacile software on a volvo C30)
The "mini CD" format is not easy to read these days, I found the driver on the "original" manufacturer's website of the chip (Prolific)
