Chattam embarked on a series to magical character. I think he wants to reach the number 7 (magic if any) to close his saga. There is no need to return to the qualities that have made this "other world" famous. "Neverland" (the sixth of the series is, after all, a long, slow chain of events to bring us to book 7. Nothing new under the sun, the story revolves around in circles but the reader having read the first 5 volumes will feel obliged to read the 6th. Nice, then, but no more
