... But that is ultimately the decisive question everything, who also am vexed months before buying. Should / Can / Can you spend a ton of coal for a lens? Who plays with the idea to purchase this lens for sale, of course, has already made a little smarter - for me personally came to this point in my purchase decision only the 70-300mm IS USM for about 500, - Euro or even the 70 -200 mm 4 L IS USM for about 1100, - Euro in question and think it goes something like most amateur photographers. The 50-250 mm IS may lie a decent performance for the price; in absolute terms, separates it then but for reasons of quality of. Everything is above the 70-200mm 4 L is financially then but - well, let's say - not my category. The interim solution and the L-entry with the 70-200 4 L without IS was not an option for me. That everyone likes look different depending on usage and preferences, but without a telephoto IS makes relatively little sense for me. So stay the above two. The price difference of over 100% natural steep. The techischen data are reproduced already absolutely correct in the other review; I do not need to also add what. For me personally, the vacation planning brought the solution: it went to the US, where lenses the same amount as here - but in dollars - cost (please still consider the customs). So purely in the store, bought the 4 L (IS USM), screwed up (on the 40D) and after the first clack I knew that this will not be my last L lens. It is knackscharf and worth every penny! So if you have included this lens in its selection, which I want to expressly say: Yesss! Do it! That is the only purpose of this review! ;-)
Should not be underestimated and therefore painted out here again, the fact that the lens is relatively new and designed with the extended number of Erten lens sharpness (allegedly - not tested by me, unfortunately) even the 70-200mm 2.8L IS USM proposes , I for one am completely overwhelmed; have also after three months and approximately 750 shots still dangling a smile and can on my initial question very very subjective recommend to anyone: Buy! It's worth the price!
Hope I could help and wish a lot of fun with the new lens.
PS: Could incidentally test the 70-300 mm in advance; So actually know the difference.
