There are from time to albums that look much more impressive than the songs as best they may be as a whole. Abbey Road by The Beatles was such a record, or Aqualung by Jethro Tull. And with Melody Road has shown again and Neil Diamond, how to bring out an excellent album. The technical quality of the recordings is impeccable, which of course contributes greatly to the listening experience. Anyone who has heard the last U2 album, know that the now common technical equipment may result in the studios also to poor quality ... not so with Neil Diamond. The harmonious Stereo Panorama together with a warm sound spectrum does his to give from the brilliantly composed pieces the listener one hour enchantment. This album is too good to blare in passing - as you should lie down on the sofa, best equipped with high-quality headphones, and enjoy. Neil Diamonds voice is still full and strong, his lyrical and musical ideas are nowhere boring on the Melody Road and the musicians who were at work, their craft do obviously with heart and skill. Melody Road puts the listener in a happy and relaxed atmosphere. If the album is over, you regret a single minute that you've spent with the music enjoyment. A true masterpiece, not a fluke.
