I was looking for a book in the vein of "Secrets of a charming babies" I read louse birth of my daughter and taken for that of my son. Finally, "I tried everything" is more a book that attempts to explain the child's behavior, but does not always ways to respond. This allows to relativize many things, and remaining calm the best medicine, it helps, but I feel that sometimes the tips do not allow the child to understand where the boundaries are. I agree about the fact that we must always explain things to the child and it is important that they feel understood, but it must also know the limits, know what it can and can not do and in this book, it is often say "it can do within the limits of what is safe" but nothing is said about the fact "no" we must ask. Everything is common sense, this book gives primarily for thought and then eventually, even with the first mentioned book, I especially found an understanding of situations and arguments to have. In short, interesting book, but I'm not sure to find a lot of information that I had not already read elsewhere or find my own reasoning.
