I ordered this Repeater me a week ago, and will now give my opinion on it.
To my body:
The source is in me a desktop PC with an AMD Radeon HD 6870. As a target device of the projector from Acer H5360 is used. The whole is rounded off by a Yamaha RX-V367, which was clamped for audio playback in between. Between PC and receiver I put a 10m line and between the receiver and projector further 15m. As cable relatively cheap high-speed HDMI 1.4 cable with Ethernet come to use (I know ... eigtl would have sufficed 1.3, but one wants to be gewapnet for the future).
My original structure looked like this:
PC (AMD Radeon HD 6870) | --10m-- | Yamaha RX-V367 | --15m-- | Acer H5360 (1280x720)
In this constellation, however the Yamaha gets Although sound, the projector a picture. So I had to think about something and got myself this repeater. And am quite satisfied. I geseteckt the repeater between projector and AV receiver, and lo and behold it works.
Thus, the structure now looks like this:
PC (AMD Radeon HD 6870) | --10m-- | Yamaha RX-V367 | --2m-- | Repeater | --15m-- | Acer H5360 (1280x720)
Unfortunately for me the 5V line of the HDMI cable has not been enough and I therefore had a 5V power supply plug (not included). After connecting the power supply came directly an image on the canvas. That the power supply is not provided, I find less bad and I admit also deliver no star, because you get this at the flea market already for about 5 euros. :) I had fortunately one here. However, it would be beneficial if it would be in the product description.
According to the manual of the repeater can be connected directly in front of the receiver (ie after the 35m), but this does not work for me. I assume that the signal was just too weak. So just in the golden mean with it.
Why my vote:
5 stars I have therefore given, because the device does exactly what it should. It extended my signal the extent that I have an image on the canvas. And after all, the signal has to travel with me a total 27m.
I hope I could help :)
