Although mini home theater, a little worse for music

The design is attractive: the two compact speakers are stylish with their painted facade (which is available in black or white.) The subwoofer, secure more massive well, is equally well finished. The attention to detail goes through the non-slip pads under the elements, the on / off switch coupled to the volume (with LED) on the right speaker rather than on the box, or links velcro - an excellent idea - which allow to store cables.

Side connections: a 3.5 mm jack (for connection to the laptop or mp3 player), an RCA connection (this time directly on the subwoofer) - convenient for a TV or DVD player, for example; and even a 3.5mm jack input additional on the right speaker, and finally an output for headphones.

In addition to the electrical connection on the subwoofer, each speaker is connected to the box - with a different connector - which can complicate things if we want to move the speakers using an extension cord because of this exotic connector ...

The only audio cable is the cable with a male jack plug secured to the right speaker. Impossible however to connect a digital source, optical or coaxial. Too bad, because it is not uncommon for analog connections are parasitized and of poor quality, especially on laptops.

On the audio front, powerful bass lovers will be delighted, the box is very effective ... too well! Difficult to climb to more than 15-20% (a potentiometer to adjust the level) without making listening tiring quickly. Use sparingly, so the sound is quickly denatured. This is less efficient for the rest, but it's not a stereo after all.

In fact, this 2.1 kit is suitable for watching action movies and to play, especially since it can be mounted high enough volume without undergoing saturation. It is in this context that this kit offers the best of itself.

By cons listening to music can be improved, because of a weakness in the treble, and it probably would have been better to have super tweeters on the front.

The assembly is, in any case, more than adequate for a computer (you still have to cram the box) and envisaged with a television, when one considers the generally poor audio quality flat screens, however, keeping in mind the lack of remote control.

In short, a product that is worth a lot for its presentation and impeccable finish. Sound is adapted to plunge into the atmosphere of games like movies. Added in June 2013: the price having fallen well since its release, we can say that this kit now offers a very good price / quality ratio.
