Comfort
The listener is tight a little and the shells are very slim. But I think that this is a good compromise in the total because it keeps the shell small enough to turn the plane upside down in the seat and a little left and right can. The padding I would, however, again a tad want thicker and softer.
Yes, you can tell him after a few hours - but at a time where the gereichten the plane lightweight headphone have long bloody drilled into the brain or chipped ears.
Sound quality
For the concentrated HiFi listening at home i would not recommend (not least because of the compromising comfort), but it sounds pretty neutral and makes all programs - are very satisfactory - Movies, different music types, voice (VoIP) . That speaks highly of him. He also produces enough treble for my taste, it could be that the other (younger) listeners is too much already. Since strikes me so slowly that presbycusis to ..;)
Interoperability
The cable is plugged in and the handset - but with an ultra-thin, deeply stuck connector. If the cable should be broken, you will be able to produce hardly spare the DIY but have to buy an original spare at Panasonic. The included airplane adapter has always fitted - sometimes not so tight as one would wish for, but ok.
The handset is expected to be relatively low resistance (which is also indirectly confirmed by other reviews) and has an apparently respectable efficiency so that it effortlessly produces also on smartphones and other relatively weak sources in my opinion always sufficient volumes.
Noise Cancelling
In a normal Reisejet the mix is felt on turbine and flow noise almost completely eliminated. With the classification of the activity, should be conservative in such extreme noise levels, since especially in the aircraft (but also the Motorsport) not let the vibrations of seats, tables, floors course off. This makes the sound events always identifiable - so quiet could not be that this does not work. That's why I think the phrase "felt almost completely eliminated" legitimate. But: The volume of the entertainment systems on the plane (wood class, rows of seats behind the engines) I have with the Panasonic with active noise canceling always in the field of the absolute minimum - ie 10 to 15% of the scale.
With cable removed the handset acts as a surprisingly good hearing protection. For the motor sport events (and the domestic use of chainsaws and brush cutters) I have normally hearing protection AEARO H540A Optime III. I let the future at home. Although the Panasonic does not quite reach the effect of a large hearing protection, but it is felt so close that I do not want rumschleifen hearing protection specially with so. The quality of the sound attenuation is also a little different. The noise-canceling leaves sounds like voices rather by while the hearing protection here, "broadband" acts - but the stressful noise proportion seems minimizes me equally effective with both.
It works well at the sound mix in open-plan offices - can be uncoupled because in fact ...
Processing
Actually, you can not mosern here. Only the Klipsmechanimus the left shell that must be open to change the battery (one AAA / micro cell) is little trust exciting - I've always worried that I'm doing the thing broken.
One might think with a nice silicone jacket via a flexible cable, but that would be bleating at the highest level. ;)
Battery life
I've - rather by accident - on the first trip only a self-discharge-free NiMH batteries (eneloop & Co.) had in it. Their capacity is well below the maximum possible with NiMH and in the small cell for so 500 mAh (says my big home charger). After about 8-10 hours use, I loaded a precaution - but had the impression (the travel charger knows something not) that still had half or a third charge. I guess so that the noise canceling works with an alkaline cell up to 30 hours.
Conclusion
Of course you can make it all better, but for the price (and therefore also for 125-130 euros, which he normally costs) Panasonic has really done right the RP-HC700E everything. I love him. I had long no longer satisfied by a purchase of consumer electronics so. ;)
