I have in my garden six feeding areas for songbirds and offer the mealworms at three different locations on (closed on three sides Futterhaus, all sides open Futterhaus on a 2 m high pile and in a bowl on the floor). My feeding sites are visited daily by following bird species: tree sparrow, tit, blue tit, blackbird, Siskins, robins and nuthatches. The mealworms are amazingly eaten only by the great tit, of this but with enthusiasm. No other food I have so often refill as this. Why the other birds spurn the mealworms, remains a mystery. It should be noted that the delivered mealworms of very good quality, the seller is therefore recommended.
