The Bamboo, an ordinary stylus for drawing?

Wacom Bamboo Stylus solo CS-100 stylus (for iPad, Smartphones & Tablets) (Electronics)

Customer Review

Now that I've casually tested the Pogo Sketch Pro, the adonitol Jot Pro and Wacom Bamboo Stylus detail for weeks around the Ipad to tame the drawing, I have come to the conclusion that pure for drawing and the artistic demands of Bamboo, at least for my purposes represents the best suitable digital pen.

Generally, there are four kinds of different stylus, which differ greatly in the tip.

Since we had the brush tip, eg the Sensu Brush, whose bristles are wonderfully suited for painting, but not for drawing.

Short explanation: difference of drawing and painting: painting is based on the brush and on surfaces, draw lines and is based on the pen.

Furthermore, there is the system of transparent plastic disc on a stylus, which should be as different pen nibs accurate.

Then we have the smaller thin plastic tip, the tip of which is optically a ballpoint pen comes reasonably close and additionally shaped like the Nintendo 3DS stylus. (Also works well)

Last but not the rubber tip, which is hollow and filled with air.

This principle pursued the Wacom Bamboo, at the beginning seemed to me that too thick and too strange, because I carried my normal sketchbook and the preferred pencil (draw a long time comic and manga standard) rather thinner pins was used.
Then there was added the problem of also initially felt to be too heavy weight of Bamboo.

Now I have but still so so used about three weeks at the Bamboo, which I do not want him to miss that feeling with the weight was reversed into its opposite, thus the Bamboo is not only stable, but also high quality finish. I use it at the same time also for writing, browsing and navigating on the iPad which also works well.

The Bamboo Stylus is accurate and a good, but still is still room for improvement ....

But the key question remains: Is drawing in decent quality at all possible on the iPad?

In some reviews was written that the Bamboo is not suitable for drawing, which I can not agree.

Because thus drawing ever works on the iPad, is primarily dependent on four things!

1) current own drawing skills, because every artistic ability is just as good as the one who exerts. Logically, as on paper, here the intermediate will achieve better results than a beginner. Drawing can be very difficult and requires regular exercise. You can learn in this regard from never.

2) The selected and used stylus, depending on his own person, it is preferable to another, and each comes with it well or less well understood.

3) The Zeichenapp to the technical skills you need to casually yet know the app itself in its technique and learning to use. Amazingly, all of the characters react and write apps slightly different on the used stylus, either Adobe Ideas, Bamboo Paper, Sketch Club, SketchBook Pro or procreate.

4) The own slowly adjusting accustomed to the digital drawing, the iPad is not necessarily a digital replacement for a traditional sketchbook as well as not a substitute for an expensive pen display from Wacom (graphics tablet with built-in screen), but is rather somehow and somewhere between.

Anyone who tries to pull from the very beginning its lines, instead of the usual as when sketching Strichelns, will get very weak and this site arg cheap looking Doodle as a result, this is true even for professionals, since they are not used at the beginning of the unit.

In principle, it feels as if you were drawing on a sheet of glass, which, ironically, is indeed true.

However, now I can say that the Ipad is wonderful for a little coarser sketches and intentionally lightweight designs.

Also for cartoons, children's book illustration, advertising and graphic design, comics and manga.

Best stay relaxed while drawing on the pad, a small tip.

Who can draw and paint realistic, completely regardless of whether digital or traditional earned my admiration, I am still far away, despite several years of practice.

Wen you get used to it, the first step is already done, it will be sometime possible that you yourself achieved, depending on your own abilities and their own purpose good to very good results, which may painted almost with the quality of Photoshop images can measure renowned artists.

So far you want it myself ...

So I recently photographed a separate drawing with the Wacom Bamboo digital inked, so graced the actual pencil drawing with ink.

And it worked out well ...

Oh, also the coloring work properly with this stylus.

But for all a lot of time, a lot of patience, a lot of tolerance and the bear, and learning from mistakes, and very, very much exercise is necessary, from one day to one will not get used to the iPad, just like on leaf and paper.

Sorry, I'm digressing somewhat from the Bamboo Stylus, but I noticed that was not particularly extensive addressed in previous reviews the drawing itself using the stylus on the iPad.

Anyway, I am very satisfied with the Bamboo and give concise four star.

Those who still have questions can gladly provide this to me on the comments.

Greetings to all and Happy drawing!
