I am "descended" from the professional camera Nikon D300s on the consumer camera Nikon D7100.
Actually, I wanted to go on the D7000, but the advantages in image quality were not so serious,
that it outweighed the advantages of the D300s. With the launch of the D7100 for me there was no holding back
and I ordered the camera at your local supplier, because Amazon is a reservation only to
rather high price was getting that did not change until today.
Immediately after publication of the technical details of the D7100, it was among the experts:
just an update to the D7000, also modernized only half-heartedly, not foldable display, video is not in HD with 50p, no GPS, no WiFi.
DC Once bleating, bleating. Of the 2 first reviews at this point to say nothing.
I have the D7100 for 6 days and have tried a lot. The adjustment possibilities are endless
and as Nikonians find most quickly. The important settings go with switches, buttons and wheels, as it should be.
I used The Nikkor lenses 16-85mm VR, 70-300mm VR, 10-24 and 35mm 1.8.
My first conclusion: sharp images down to the smallest detail thanks to the high resolution, the ISO range to 800 no noise on a monitor 27
visible at full frame size, up to ISO 1600 easily perceptible but not annoying, yet fine details visible.
Whether you even then can detect noise on printouts up to A4, remains to be seen.
The images have a very good momentum, which is quickly checked the histogram.
Autofocus grabs even in diffuse light to such cometh enthusiasm.
Assuming VR lenses and normal lighting in the room (ceiling lamp or lamps on) you can do without flash in the family celebration.
And runs when it's light enough for ISO 100, the sensor in top form. I can not prove the laboratory scale but after many years
analogue and digital photography you can see that already.
I have studied in detail the testing of competitors from the house Nikon and the competition and maintain
that there is no camera currently below 2000 where resolution, exposure, auto focus and speed
such a high quality is achieved as in the D7100 with a DX-sensor !.
A first test in which you can compare camera models with different ISO values and objectives well,
is published and confirmed this.
And so does my descent is a true rise.
But do not forget: to take good pictures is an art and believes less dependent on technology than you!
