After initial testing in enclosed spaces and in nature I can only confirm: For such a small micro an excellent sound. Both speakers in front and behind the camera (rear Allerding quieter, logical) and faint sounds like distant bird calls are clearly recorded with very low noise. Both the high tones and bass are presented well balanced my feeling. One should set using the side switch the sensitivity according to the ambient Allerding.
For movies outdoors I absolutely recommend the windshield MZW 400. So you have even in some more wind, no wind noise in recording. Severe wind unfortunately I could not test due to the nice weather.
And very important: Switch Before recording the mic. I've probably wondered when the first clip came without sound ... ;-)
The only negative is perhaps the most Where the MKE 400 is only a mono microphone. A stereo microphone with optional switching to Mono would have been the ideal. But I would probably spend a bit more.
