First you have to know -> what do you? I wanted a couple of PC speakers who still find it on my desk overflowing a cookie. Since under the desk also is not much space and there is a single tangles everywhere, I deliberately chose a compact 2.0 system for my work computer (on which I occasionally play).
In fact, the Creative T20 deliver a truly enjoyable and very bulky for the size of the sound. You can convince with soft and loud tones. They are stable levels - clinks and clatters as nothing.
What is missing is bass - because you need not sugarcoat - there's nothing! Those who expect to, will probably be disappointed. But if you can do without the indefinable Gewummere a subwoofer, is operated otherwise excellent. The "average" bass are certainly very crisp.
My hearing is certainly not one of the best and scrupulous - but flat garage sound stupid or cheap Gewummere I can not at all anyway. Of the T20 Thankfully light years away.
Due to the lack of deep bass, the Speaker so some listeners may at first not really impress, but otherwise, they provide a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience. Since you can sometimes hear a few MP3s on your PC. Games come over very well. Yes ok - again warmed -> so ne huge explosion rocked a not to the core.
To sound the party cellar the boxes are only a limited - but remember: there are PC speakers.
Super is that nothing noisy or buzzing! Even if you turn the lute strength usually without an audio file is played - the boxes remain absolutely quiet. This is not self-evident, even with so many well-known competitors.
Criticisms? Yes - a few small gripes:
- As has been said of the low pass filters, as Creative Labs could have a bit of magic
- The controller itself I find rather cheap - rubberized knobs or aluminum knobs have flattered me in addition
- A separate on / off switch would be handy - so to speak his "favorite volume" always adjust
- The center of gravity is relatively high - as described by others - is nudging and they fall to
- Yes - the power supply remains when switched off slightly warm - ie it takes even electricity - it but most devices with external power supply are well affected - but there are power saving strips - solved> Problem
Does it have to be a 2.0 system, so it can certainly be a 2.1 or 5.1 system in the same price class. But beware - these systems may often impress with deep bass, but the rest leaves to be desired sometimes etweas left. At rest the T20 trumps really. If there must be a 5.1 system, I can also highly recommend Creative Labs - a 5.1 system from Creative Labs I call also my own and am very satisfied. Sounds better than the 5.1 system from Logitech my son - the wummert really only "impressive".
ADDENDUM: In the meantime, I've bought a couple of T40 Creative. In direct comparison, these have a slightly different sound characteristics: height Stressed, otherwise somewhat flatter and also from the bass ago even slightly weaker. The extra cost is not worth it - the T20 can take reassured that T40 is not really better; even something worse to my mind.
