Caviar ethernet

For starters, the design of this hard drive is very nice, the finish is perfect (worthy of western) and it is very quiet (no fan), these criteria are important if we put this disc on the living room.
On the practical side, the administration interface is comprehensive, intuitive and enables many users or set of remote access. Fini simple file sharing, you can also access it from anywhere through internet and a MioNet account without having to go through cumbersome methods such as ftp ...
As for performance, speed is supposed to be ... but gigabit connected to a gateway to 100Mb, it reaches speeds of 12MB / s during file transfer.
Default side, that disc does that connects Ethernet (no USB), which can cause problems when transporting with friends to show pictures for example. Moreover, this disc does not dhcp server, which requires us to go through a gateway to exploit it.
Last, the UPnP does not work correctly with the Freebox V5 (jerks during video playback), the box being difficult in selecting the UPnP server (Twonky Media in this western)
In passing a host USB port would have run directly backups of this disk to an external device ... but it is also missing
In summary:

Con: connectivity / transport facility
