Although there are now already are a few lamps that provide a little more light output, which is offered by the TM26 still very impressive. The lamp is relatively small and surpassing its most powerful car headlights! With its OLED display it is still unique on the market.
The color temperature is relatively neutral, the illumination both broad far-reaching. The gradation of the brightness levels is chosen to be very practical, a Fireflymodus with only 3 lumens exists. Another highlight is the OLED display, which informs the user about the battery status, voltage, temperature, maturity and stage lighting.
The TM26 NiteCore is one of the most powerful flashlights on the market - and also the most expensive! So one naturally expects a flawless manufacturing quality!
This unfortunately I can only partially confirm. After receiving the lamp I did not come unfortunately to the switch clear until I realized that this was defective. Normally, the TM26 has a switch with two pressure stages, similar to a camera shutter. My first copy had only one pressure stage. In addition, the reflectors were inside filthy. A flaw that can be difficult to tolerate in a so expensive lamp.
The replacement lamp now works Although the switch side as intended, but also has soiled reflectors. I keep them now, because I have no desire to further exchange orgies. But I find it a pity. Other high-performance lamps, which I own, among other things, from the same manufacturer have an absolutely perfect production quality!
Of these things aside the TM26 is an extremely fascinating lamp, which is also called just so happy to take at hand. The processing of the case from hard anodized aircraft aluminum is fantastic, in fact, and so the lamp holds equally good, as well as design technology for a real treat!
The question of the actual benefits may be probably not make. Very few buyers "need" such a lamp - which incidentally also is incredibly hot during operation in the high light levels! The lamp is to be seen rather as a toy and collectible for geeks ...
