I only recently stumbled upon the exceptional works by Dredg. To admit it: Radio One was to blame! There I heard the song I Do not Know. Then I just had to take on Amazon and read the reviews Hörpproben. To my delight I noted that the highly acclaimed albums Catch Without Arms and El Cielo were to have the piece for under 6 euros. With the album The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion I'm suddenly on a blow Dredg fan !? Well, when I read the reviews here, I'm comfortable with my taste is not fully in line. I agree with the recommendation of reviewers passat32: I hear almost daily the latest album The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion to me only then turn to the older albums. Anyway, I'm always excited about this album again. My attempt to assign this music genre has failed. Ultimately, however, it speaks to me in a similar way to such works by Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Creed, or the like. The older albums I have also heard, but I'm stuck (for now) at the latest. I can not share the local opinions that The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion was inconsequential and boring. Sometimes I feel that old fans react always peeved when their bands favored even by a larger fan base. In other words: With a commercial success, the band becomes uninteresting. But what do you call a commercial success? In this case it is but just that the musical tastes of a growing group of people met (or awakened) was. Can you blame the one band? I do not think so, especially since my opinion is whining at Dredg at a high level. This band still has a very unique style of music genius. And I look forward to also eventually learn to enjoy the old albums.
