The look on the internet brought no reliable clarification in terms Kompabilit: There were opinions with reference to the manual that emphasized that there is a fundamental incompatibility between the YN-622 C and the 6d. It piled up the evidence, the transceivers have in connection with the Canon 6d the problem, the ETTL control can not be transferred. Other Internet posts disagreed.
I have it but then ventured - and because of the reference to the pack a German translation of Amazon ("FBA") by selling "lucky-express" ordered. Was jiffy because, shipment by Prime.
In the packing a bilingual manual, Chinese and English translation. Well, translation! There was someone at work, to transfer the Chinese into English without intercultural language skills (ie gibberish). In addition, was an English Quick Start Guide and this precisely those really short German translation of the latter.
In retrospect, I have to say that this little German manual list is sufficient in principle. It contains all important and necessary installation way.
Both Transciever work wonderfully. About the creative programs of 6d, the parameters on the menu item "External Speedlite control" Setting wonderful and are also recognized and implemented by 580EXII. This is especially true for the flash mode: Whether ETTL, Manual or multiple flash.
The exposure is true - even in ETTL. It's amazing how even with just a flash your own creativity new horizons supplies (Lichteinanfall from the side and top especially in portraiture). From the weight saving of what you have on the shoot in his hand, not to mention. Simply brilliant, the things!
I do not want to miss the YN-622C transceiver!
Final note (maybe helpful for those who are successful similar):
It took me a few hours to realize this convincing result. At the beginning there was frustration. Despite consistent with this instruction manual and the ETTL-setting in the menu of 6d my 580EXII flashed loud display only TTL and not controlled but full from both the creative as well as in the scene modes. The result was completely overexposed images. I was afraid that the information on the Internet on a fundamental incompatibility of-ETTL YN-622C with the Canon 6d, are right.
After a long search finally resolving the issue. And that was not found in the Yongnuos but in C.Fn-dinner my 580EXII. There Custom Setting "C.Fn-05" must be set to "0" (ETTL). She stood (default setting) to "1" (TTL). Strangely, however, worked ETTL when the flash was mounted directly on the camera's hot shoe (6d and 60d).
To summarize:
After a long search all good!
- The Yongnuo transceivers are well made.
- You make a super job.
- The transfer of all modes works perfectly.
- The creative lighting and flash design options are already taking with only one flash to immensely. (Recommend a look at the book by Thilo Gockel "Just one flash!" - But see myself in the future in expanding my Biltzequippments :-))
- Better handling of the camera by saving weight while shooting.
Yes and even a last-ditch Note: Before autofocus assist lamp is both Transcievern a barely perceptible protective film: from it!
I hope this review was helpful to you. About comments I am happy!
