Nevertheless, I have it sent to Nikon for adjustment: at 1.8 and 100% resolution at 36 megapixels there is something wrong, confirmed by the Nikon service. Nikon will correct it. The whole gecroppt to 24 MP looked much better - only slight fading.
Why did not it returned and bought a new one? So I did not have good experiences: within a production tranche I had so far received only minor deviations. And always good experiences with the Nikon Service: the 28-ies and 50-ies 1.8G 1.8G. The 85 1.8G was flawless and had not corrected.
So that's the point deduction: Nikon should better factory provide good quality but to rely on the fact that it accept the customer already as it is. But beware: Canon is apparently no better, as I discovered at a 6D equipment with 3 fixed focal length once! Obviously, the camera market is under pressure, that is at least saved with consumer goods.
So whining at a high level and 4 stars! Strong buy recommendation!
Who is less demanding, is probably also good with the 20mm 2.8 AF deal! I at least thought about it to me a long time ....
