I find many of the qualities of my Wave include: a knife that cuts like a scalpel, and I never even had to re-sharpen. Blades that come out and lock with a finger without opening the body of the knife ... if care is taken to maintain the axis lubricated ... A diamond file: the top to sharpen anything. A very good clip still available. And also some significant improvements: a further improved steel for the blade (the former already of excellent quality !!!). An integrated bit holder (my wave requires a separate accessory). A hook cut rope: very simple and incredibly effective to cut the packaging strapping, adhesive cardboard box, safe for content and for his fingers.
Some disadvantages: the chisel became tiny. The tips are specific (flat), those of my generation are the wave former standard bits of my studio and are definitely stronger ... The tips easily fall out of the bit holder: the price to pay to keep with you in case of need. The sheath is too big, and not so practical it: hard to get 2 collets.
A very good tool, the quality justifies the price. Not to put between skilled and cautious hands: Some blades are as dangerous as they are effective.
